"I decided what I wanted to be when I grew up: a Surgeon," recalls Dr. Gustavo Melo, thinking back to an emergency appendectomy at age 9. This early experience shaped his deeply empathetic approach to medicine.
Graduating from the prestigious UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) in 2003, Dr. Melo completed residencies in General Surgery and Videolaparoscopy before specializing in Coloproctology. With over 20 years of medical experience, he combines rigorous academic training with a humanized approach to patient care.
